beginner's classes

Have you been interested in learning Spanish, but can’t bear the thought of textbooks and high-school or college-like classes? Well, let me tell you, that there is another option!

Do you remember how you learned to speak your first language? Your parents would talk to you, you would listen and then you would repeat. Eventually they read to you, taught you how to read, taught you how to write, etc. This is the natural, organic way to learn a language and that is exactly how we teach beginners @ Pura Buena Onda.

Each week we have different topics of conversation...and things that are actually relevant, none of this “the library opens at 10am” and “I have a big, yellow pencil” stuff! We will teach you vocabulary that everyone needs to know, as well as vocabulary pertinent to you and your life. As we approach different subjects, you will continue to use much of the same words and sentence structures, therefore learning how to take what you have learned and apply it to many situations, without having to use boring textbooks!

- Native Teachers from Mexico & Chile
- Fun & un-intimidating environment!
- A hands-on method of learning (rather than studying & memorizing)
- Friday afternoons from 1230pm - 2pm
- Maximum of 6 students per class
- $20/class with a cash or check payment = $240 for the 12 weeks (payment due to reserve your space)
- $21/class with a credit card payment = $252 for the 12 weeks (payment due to reserve your space)
- Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable
- Classes will be held in North Park @ Pura Buena Onda – Conversational Spanish
- Free parking
- Class is currently in session. A new 12-week course will start in April. Please let us know if you would like to be added to the interest list.

Please note:
- These classes will require quite a bit of listening, repeating, reading & writing
- It is recommended that you bring a notebook & dictionary (or a laptop to access on-line dictionaries)
- It take years to learn a language...you need to know that. This class will be an intro to Spanish and will help you learn quite a bit of basic Spanish, in a fun, un-intimidating environment.
